Although in Spain we do not know the company at all NTT Docomo, we are talking about one of the communication giants in Japan, something that allows you to invest enough money to make the drone that you can see on the screen just above these lines a reality. As defined by its creators, a model that is perfectly adapted to the needs that areas related to advertising and marketing may have.
On a structural level, NTT Docomo engineers have opted for a configuration of four engines surrounded by a kind of spherical cage. To give more consistency to this cage, a kind of light frame is added with eight LED strips that extends from the highest area of the sphere to the lowest.
NTT Docomo creates an impressive spherical drone capable of creating any type of image.
The trick to getting the drone to project an image in this cage, even if it can be used for marketing purposes, is that one of the four motors is connected to this LED sphere allowing you to rotate the inner frame and turn on the lights to create an image. As a detail, tell you that the sphere has a diameter of about 88 centimeters with a weight of 3,4 kilograms, enough to offer images with a resolution of X.
Considering the details offered by NTT Docomo, apparently one of the great challenges that its engineers had to face was the need to develop this drone to be very light while, in turn, it allowed the air flow to pass through it, something that, if not achieved, would significantly influence its resistance during flight, hence, as we can see, the interior of it is hollow.
If you are interested in getting one of these peculiar drones, tell you that fortunately NTT Docomo has planned its commercialization although it will not arrive, according to the estimates made by the Japanese company itself, at least until 2019 late since the idea is to premiere this type of flying objects during the 2020 Japan Olympic Games.
