Open ArdBir or how to create your own beer with Arduino

Open AirBir

Beer is a drink that is very established in almost all the cultures of the world, so it is not surprising that there are projects that seek as their main objective to create beer quickly or in a homemade way. At this point the Open ArdBir project stands out.

Open ArdBir is a project that, based on an Arduino board, controls the entire manufacturing process from storage to maceration, ending with tasting. All phases are controlled by an Arduino board, well better said by a PCB board that is based on the Arduino design but that includes an LED interface to manage the process from Open ArdBir itself.

In addition, this machine has several sensors and a connected circuit that will mean that we do not have to do anything to create our own beer, just enter the ingredients and the rest will take care of Open ArdBir with its program. Hence the Arduino-based interface is very important. Thus through this interface we will not only know the maceration temperature but we can also modify it since the device also has fans and refrigerants that will allow us to modify the temperature to our liking or need.

In addition, the best of all, at least for many of you who are reading us, is that Open ArdBir is a totally free project that we can build ourselves and that we can even buy the custom PCB that is so important to the project. But we can also build our own PCB if we want. For those of you who want to know more, in this link You have all the documentation of the project (programs included) and for those who want to know more or buy a PCB of the project, in his Facebook page you will find the rest of the information. Personally I think it is a great project even though it will not allow us to create beer in large quantities, a pity true?
