O'Qualia launches the first commercial drone printed in 3D

O'Qualia

Just a few weeks ago we had the opportunity to see how even a company the size of Airbus had become interested in creating commercial drones manufactured using 3D printing, a more than interesting idea that seems to have its followers since it has finally been the Malaysian company of UAS research and development, O'Qualia, which will finally take the title of the first to launch one of these drones on the market.

Specifically today I want to present you the new O'Qualia Captor, a drone that will officially hit the market next June 20 2016 and stands out for having been designed taking into account the needs of different markets. For this, a modular drone has been created so that all the parts that make up its structure can be exchanged for others and thus be able to incorporate different tools with which to carry out all kinds of tasks.

As you can see in the image that is located right at the top of this same post, the O'Qualia Captor is a fixed-wing drone that stands out so much for its small size, we are talking about 80 cm wingspan, such as its ability to carry up to 450 grams of weight. Although it may seem small, it must be taken into account that it is greater than that of other devices on the market with similar characteristics.

If you are interested in getting a unit of this peculiar drone, I can only tell you that according to the company that manufactures it, it will reach the market at a price that will range between 5.000 and 14.000 dollars depending, of course, on its initial configuration and the number of tools with which it is ordered from the factory. As a final detail, keep in mind that if you reserve the O'Qualia Captor before the launch date, you can purchase a fully equipped unit at a price of $ 2.750.
