3D printing is relentlessly advancing to penetrate all sectors and industries today. We have already spoken on other occasions about companies that apply 3D printing to the creation of footwear. However, this time we are going to talk about a special. Orion es Spanish, small startup and a personal project of a young entrepreneur. Orion wants to create shoes that adapt perfectly to the feet of your customers.

A year ago, Emilio Quirós Alcón, teaming up with Alberto Santana, won the national competition for young entrepreneurs organized by the Valencia Chamber of Commerce. They later achieved great recognition by being their selected company to receive support from Celera Emprende program, promoted by the Junta de Andalucía. These have been the first and firm steps to make your dream come true, to create a company whose goal is the totally personalized treatment of its clients, creating products tailored to the taste of each person.

How Orion creates its footwear

Orion assures us that process very simple. It all starts with a customer who chooses the shoe model he wants to be manufactured, when he must send several photos of her feet. From this visual material, company staff will create a digital model with which you will create a flexible sole adapted to the customer's foot.
Once this phase is finished, the customer can customize color, design and materials. Being able to select from organic cotton to the trendiest vintage jeans, the variety of materials that those responsible for the project promise us is spectacular and all Respectful towards the environment.

"Whether for walking, going to work or running, it means being able to obtain greater comfort and performance from the support of the soles of your feet, that is, more comfort, more ergonomics without having to adapt to any shoe, since the shoe is adapted to you ».
Partnerships and sponsors
The company is currently looking for strategic alliances and sponsors. He has already contacted companies in Cádiz and Seville, from companies in the world of footwear to companies in the field of 3D printing.

Emilio has designed and manufactured the printer that he has used in this initial phase himself. of the project to manufacture the first shoes, to grow you need partners and financing. We hope you find someone with whom to grow the project soon.
