PiGGRL Zero, a portable console with Raspberry Pi as a base

PiGGRL Zero

PiGGRL Zero is the new project that I bring you today, a new «entertainment» where we will learn how to make our own portable game console thanks to the new Raspberry Pi Zero, the plate with which the company surprised us a few weeks ago thanks to its characteristics and its price since we are talking about only 5 dollars of cost.

As expected, not only will we need the Raspberry Pi Zero to be able to manufacture and build the PiGGRL Zero that you can see in the photo located at the top of this post or in the image gallery at the end of it, but also We will need to acquire a series of materials such as a screen, battery, adapters, buttons or a 3D printed housing. To all this we must add certain dexterity when welding components and especially understand a little electronics to know what we are doing.

Going into a little more detail, note that a panel has been used as a screen Adafruit PiTFT of only 2,2 inches with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, enough to load and move with definition and ease Retropi 3.7 Emulation Station that, as you surely know, allows us to load all kinds of roms from SNES, NES, Megadrive and even of the N64. To give the project some autonomy, it is committed to a 2.000 mAh battery.

On the other hand, the fact that on one of its sides the console reveals a female USB port so that any user can add peripherals such as keyboards, a USB hub, WiFi or Bluetooth adapters ... Without a doubt, a more than interesting project that we could tackle without any problem this weekend.
