Pollen AM presents its new two-material FFF type 3D printer

Pollen AM

From France we received a press release announcing the development and manufacture of a new FFF type 3D printer capable of working with up to four different materials at the same time. Responsible for this creation is the company Pollen AM and its new product will hit the market in the coming weeks under the name of PAM. Undoubtedly a great novelty that opens the doors to the manufacture of objects of two different materials.

In order to create this 3D printer, Pollen AM engineers have had to work on its design and development for several months. After all this kind of waiting, finally the first customers who had already reserved their unit will be able to receive it in the next few weeks. As a detail, tell you that all these customers who trusted the product, will be able to get their unit at a price of 8.000 euros compared to $16.000 to be paid by the rest of the customers who, from now on, want to get a unit.

Pollen AM surprises us with a 3D printer capable of working with up to four different types of material

One of the peculiarities of this 3D printer is that, despite working under the plastic extrusion principle, instead of using filament, it uses pellets to work. Pellets are small balls of thermoplastic material that resemble, to a certain extent, pollen grains. Due to all this, the weight of the system in charge of printing is too high so, instead of it being mobile as in the vast majority of cases, this time it has opted for give mobility to the base.

Regarding more technical characteristics, it should be noted that the maximum manufacturing volume, according to the statement offered by Pollen AM, would be a cylinder of 300 mm diameter by 300 mm high. In addition to this, the 3D printer incorporates heated base up to 120 degrees Celsius and a extraction temperature up to 350 degrees centigrade. Among the materials with which this peculiar printer can work, highlight the PLA, PLA with wood particles, TPU and silicone.
