PolySync launches a kit to build our own autonomous car

PolySync

In recent months and even years we can say that the center of technology has been filled with autonomous cars and models that can drive and function without the hand of man. This has made all car and technology brands start looking for their own model. Something that we can also do with Hardware Libre.

About us PolySync has launched a kit made up of Arduino boards and sensors that will allow us to install it in a car and turn it into an autonomous car or at least that is what they say.

The PolySync kit is built with Arduino boards and free components

This kit will cost about $ 1.000, a price more than considerable if we take into account that Google's car will be priced close to $ 100.000. In any case, the biggest problem will not be the price of this kit but being able to install it and that it works correctly. So it seems that this Kit will be a complement to the CCCA Project.

This project tries to control the car through modules that can be customized and changed, in such a way that through a common model, anyone can have an autonomous and personalized car. This is very interesting but for at the moment we only know one model, the Kia Soul. So the big problem with PolySync and its kit is not the price but the power to be used in the car we have.

In any case, it seems that the compatible models will be more as well as the units available from this kit. But there is more. Since the kit is built with Arduino boards, so if we have time we can build our own kit as well as adapt it to our own car, but it will not be exact to the PolySync kit or work as well as this kit. And you Which kit do you keep?
