PowerEye boasts thermal camera and 4K resolution

power eye

After a long time without hearing about PowerVision, the manufacturer has just revealed all the details of its new drone, a model baptized with the name of power eye and that stands out for being a consumer drone with the capacity to record a thermal video signal, which makes it more than interesting, especially for professional tasks, for example, within the construction sector. Taking advantage of the great characteristics of its camera, the model in turn has two camera modes that greatly facilitate the drone's navigation tasks and the avoidance of obstacles present in its path.

Going into a little more detail, as you can see in the video located just below these lines, we find a quadcopter designed from an architecture based on removable arms and rotors that greatly facilitate tasks such as transportation from one location to another. In addition to this, PowerEye has been endowed with a retractable landing gear So, for example, when recording with the equipped gimball, there are no angle limitations when filming. According to the company, the in-flight autonomy of the PowerEye moves about 30 minutes although they warn that this may vary depending on weather conditions.

PowerEye, the latest and greatest creation from PowerVision.

As for the camera, as we have commented, we find a 4K UHD resolution model with a support that would allow swap micro 4/3 lenses. This would allow the user to get high quality photos. To this we must add the functionality of power record video with thermal imaging which, as we have commented on many occasions, is very interesting, especially for infrastructure inspection tasks, especially to locate points suffering from energy loss due to excessive heat release.
