The Prodintec Foundation, based in Asturas, we receive information about a project in which all the necessary technology is being developed to achieve the manufacture of concrete structures and houses using 3D printing technology. Other large companies in the sector collaborate in this project, such as coprose and Masaveu Group.
Just a few months ago, the capacity of the first prototype created was revealed, a machine that at that time was already capable of creating structures and hollow concrete pieces up to 1,5 meters long and 1,5 meters wide. Once this objective was achieved, the Prodintec Foundation urged its collaborators to try to scale the technology developed, that is, to ensure that it could manufacture parts larger than up to five square meters of surface.

The final idea of this project is that the resulting machine, composed of several robots capable of printing any structure, is capable of fabricate a space similar in size to a room out of concrete in one go, that is to say, what they plan is to literally be able to take these robots to any open space or terrain and that with their work they will lift the building, printing its different areas.
Thanks to the use of this new technology, all types of homes can be built in a much more dynamic, versatile and rational way. On the other hand, among the most interesting advantages we find that delivery times will be much shorterWe are talking about four months per home, while the budgets and delivery of work will not be so variable or delays will appear.
