RaspAnd puts Android on Raspberry Pi

RaspAnd

The possibility of installing Android on our Raspberry Pi has been available for weeks. However, until recently, it was difficult to find the latest version of Android Nougat for the Raspberry Pi. This is already possible thanks to the developer Arné Exton and its RaspAnd distribution.

RaspAnd 7.1.1 is based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, a version that, although functional, still has some problems with some apps and applications. Along with Android and access to the Play Store. RaspAnd also includes the Kodi software, a fantastic program with which we can watch paid channels for free, although in this case we do not have the latest version of Kodi 17 but rather the RC4 of Kodi 17.

RaspAnd 7.1.1 brings the latest version of Android to our Raspberry Pi

RaspAnd 7.1.1 has built-in GAPPS, that is, we will have access to the Play Store and Google apps, just like in the Android of a smartphone, although some apps like Youtube do not work correctly. In addition to the Play Store, users can find Aptoide, another Android app store that will increase the number of apps and programs that we can use on our Raspberry Pi. In addition, like some mobile customizations, we can find installed apps such as ES File Explorer, AIDA or Snaptube among others.

RaspAnd can be found at this website, its official website. But we must warn that currently obtaining RaspAnd is not free as it happens in other distributions for Raspberry Pi, having a cost of 9 dollars per download or product update.

If we really want to have Android or run a certain Android app on our Raspberry Pi, we personally recommend using Chrome for Raspberry or Remix OS, but not RaspAnd since some apps do not currently work on RaspAnd. Instead, if we want to experiment, RaspAnd can be a great option, a great option if we have a Raspberry Pi and a microsd card others.

RaspAnd is complex and tedious to install and it does not have a script to automate the process, I do not recommend it, I have paid for it and I have gone crazy looking for information on possible installation failures and the ten androids that I have managed to install in raspberry this It is the only one that I have not been able to put, the rest have been all the first time and with this I have a week and nothing, do not pay for it.
