Roland DG

Roland D.G. Corporation, a multinational company specialized in the manufacture of large format 3D printers and desktop manufacturing devices, taking advantage of the celebration of the fair Formnext which is taking place in Frankfurt (Germany) and which will close its doors on November 18, will present to all those present a new technology through which it is possible to create ceramics through the use of alumina powder on a 3D printer.

During the fair, the public present there will be able to see for the first time the new ceramic 3D printer developed by Roland DG engineers. In this presentation, the company wants to show how today they are trying to improve their offers so that small and medium-sized companies can get hold of a model of much more versatile 3D printer, capable of working with different materials, printers that, due to their characteristics today, have a price perhaps too high for them to be acquired by this type of company.

As commented michel van vliet, General Manager of the industrial business development unit, thanks to this new technology it is possible to produce appropriate detail and precision not only for the field of decoration, but also for other types of industries where, for example, ceramic filters, valves or heat insulators are required. Another of the most striking advantages of this new technology is the reduction of process time required for the creation of ceramic objects.

In his own words michel van vliet:

Introducing this new addition to our technology before the final product launch optimizes the research and development process allowing our company to launch products precisely tailored to customer needs. Addressing market demands and providing complete solutions has always been a strategic objective of the company. Now, we can take solution development to the next level by offering the public the opportunity to influence our next product by listening to their feedback.
