More and more companies are choosing Kickstarter to launch SLA and DLP printers, the proposal that we present to you today is one more. saffire is a modular SLA printer. In this industrial-style printer we can use the laser with which the resin is cured to make engravings in DM, wood and materials of similar hardness.
SafFire, technical characteristics
SafFire is designed especially for jewelers, dentists, small-scale manufacturers. With this equipment we obtain quality 3D prints at an affordable price. This printer can work with the most common resins on the market. On innovative system for sinking the object into the resin Eliminates the need to change the resin tank every so often. In this way we can say that the SafFire printer does not need maintenance.
SafFire Features:
Size: 155 x 155 x 225mm
Approximate weight: 5kg
Laser power: 75-750mW
Laser spot size: 75 microns
Engraving area: 127 x 127 x 76mm
Connectivity: USB
Power: 12V / 1.5A
Z resolution: 3.175 microns
Printing area: 120 x 80 x 80mm or 110 x 110 x 125mm
Resin volume: 900mL or 2500ml
Voxel size: 25 to 150 microns
saffire, it is not autonomous and has to be connected to a PC throughout the printing process. The PC is the one in charge of controlling and carrying out all the necessary steps to make a print.
Unlike other printers on the market, this equipment works with a very small and rounded laser point. This allows print large objects without losing definition and with a smooth finish.
The printing time varies depending on the printed object, from the 30 minutes for small object printed at 100 microns up to 3 o'clock if we print the same object at full resolution.
With less than a week to go to the end of the term, it has only raised 50% of the necessary funds. Hopefully the project manager will find the motivation to try to relaunch the project later because SafFire has a promising future.
