scandy is a recently created company located in New Orleans itself that, after a hard year of work in which they have wanted to establish their scanning and 3D printing services at affordable prices, now they surprise us with a more than interesting project developed jointly by the boys from Pmd-Technologies, a leading company in 3D ToF sensors. We are talking about 3D Scandy Pro, an affordable, portable and fast system with which to perform a 3D scan from any type of mobile device.
According to their own developers, it seems Scandy Pro is so powerful that combined with a smartphone it has nothing to envy of professional 3D scanning equipment of thousands of dollars. As a detail, tell you that at the moment this 3D scanner can only be used by android devices (a version for iOS and Windows Mobile is being worked on) using the PMD pico flexx ToF sensor.
