The Spanish transport and logistics company SEUR is the last to be interested in the enormous amount of possibilities that the world of drones can offer for parcel delivery. Thanks precisely to this interest, the company has just presented a rather peculiar drone with which they intend to launch this project. In advance, tell you that this aircraft has been designed by Atechsys and DPDGroup.
As for the physical characteristics of the model that you can see in the photos located right at the top of this entry, it should be noted that we are talking about a drone of 370 x 270 x 125 mm equipped with a camera integrated in its design that would allow you to visualize the route you are traveling on. As expected, in terms of integrated technology, a GPS system as well as a parachute, the latter configured to activate automatically if the drone suffers an incident during its resignation.

Now, we are not much less talking about a recent project since, according to SEUR, it began to take shape in 2014 and, after all this time, it has been possible to develop a drone capable of moving with loads up to 3 kilograms in distances up to 20 kilometers to top speed of up to 30 kilometers per hour in flight. At the moment that peculiar drone is in beta, which means that the company is finalizing all the details to get to the final product.
Regarding the operation of the drone, the logistics terminals designed for the operation of the device have been adapted to facilitate loading, take-off and landing of the delivery drone. At the loading docks, a mechanism is responsible for preparing the order on the drone, first picking up the cargo, and later, tying it to the aircraft so that it can start the delivery route.
