Stratasys proposes new materials for 3D printing

Stratasys

Stratasys is one of the large companies related to the world of 3D printing, which needs to continue innovating and making 3D printing evolve at the rate they set if it does not want to lose its privileged position within the sector. Thanks to this, today we can talk about the presentation of two new advanced materials baptized as FDM Nylon 12CF y agilus30.

As published in the press release, FDM Nylon 12CF is a new material high performance composite It can replace a range of metal applications and can be used with Stratasys' own patented FDM technology. This new material is ideal for rapid prototyping applications and even for the manufacture of resistant tools with low weight.

Be delighted by the two new Stratasys materials.

If we delve into its characteristics, the new material is based on 35% chopped carbon fiber. Thanks to this, he offers, until now, best strength-to-weight ratio of all the thermoplastics marketed by Stratasys itself. As a detail, tell you that this new material has passed all functional performance tests so it is suitable for use in sectors such as aerospace, automotive, industrial manufacturing ...

In second place we have the material baptized as agilus30 which has been designed to be used by designers and engineers in creating flexible and rubber prototypes. This material offers greater freedom to create flexible parts, offering, in turn, great precision and detail when carrying out any type of task.

As commented from Stratays, this new material offers a very rubber-like performance being, in turn, compatible with the solube SUP706 support. Thanks to these characteristics it is ideal to be used in modeling delicate pieces that will be subjected to constant bending and bending. A perfect example for the use of this material would be overmodeling, hinges, sleeves, seals, gaskets, knobs, handles, manufacturing of soft-touch parts, and even handles.
