The Sky Guys is a new startup based in Toronto, Canada, which until now was specializing in offering video, mapping and inspection services using drones. In order not to depend on external companies, the guys from The Sky Guys made the decision that they should work on their own aircraft and, months later, we can announce the creation of the one named as DX-3, a model whose characteristics are sure to surprise you.
Before continuing, let me tell you that for the design and manufacture of the DX-3, The Sky Guys decided to create a new technology division called as Defiant Labs, this has finally been in charge of designing this new drone specifically to monitor and inspect remote areas. As you can see from the pictures, the DX-3 is a fixed wing drone, something that helps it with the efficiency at the time of expending energy helping it to get to extend its operating range. Despite its large wings, this new drone equips a system that allows it to take off vertically.
The Sky Guys DX-3, a drone capable of flying for more than 24 hours.
Based on the statements made by Adam Sax, CEO and Founder of The Sky Guys:
The DX-3 will fundamentally change the drone industry. This is Canadian technology, it is the world's leading technology and we will design, manufacture and produce the DX-3 in Canada. The DX-3 is robust, capable of operating and deploying in harsh weather conditions such as rain, the desert, and even the arctic. It's only fair that a Canadian company make a drone that can withstand environmental extremes.
As announced in their press release, it appears that the DX-3 can reach monitor tracts of land up to 1.500 kilometers, carry up to three kilograms of payload and fly for more than 24 hours conducting communications via satellite at all times. As expected, in addition to all this technology, there is also room for cameras with high resolution optical zoom and can include a LIDAR sensor for mapping work.
