This 3D printed hive allows you to collect honey without any risk of bee stings

Every day we meet a new application of 3D printing and today we want to present what has been one of the most successful projects of Indiegogo. Flow Hive is a 3D printed hive that allows us to easily produce our own honey without also disturbing the bees that reside in it excessively.

The panels of this hive are printed thanks to a 3D printer, although not in a complete way since the final part is built by the bees themselves thanks to their wax. This in turn will play a key role when collecting honey.

And it is thanks to this hive that has raised nothing more and nothing less than 12 million dollars in the well-known platform to obtain financing, it will not be necessary to remove the panels from the hive to collect the honey.

Just by turning a crank we can extract the honey produced by the bees. Because the 3D printed panels are incomplete, turning the crank will break the wax placed by the bees releasing the honey that will fall directly into the jars to store the honey.
