Troubleshoot the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 with this Arduino project

Samsung Galaxy Note 7

In August Samsung presented its latest phablet, Samsung Galaxy Note 7, a powerful mobile that surpassed many ... even in errors. After the first units appeared, many users alleged that their mobiles exploded or caught fire. This has been due to a battery problem and Samsung is fixing it, but many do not want to change their old unit What to do then?

Samsung cautions that limiting the load to 60% is a solution, a solution that they will implement via OTA, but until then we can do the same with this Arduino project.

This charger project may have a fire extinguisher to put out the fire of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7

The original project consists of offering a mobile charger that uses an old light bulb that will tell us when the mobile is charged or not. To do this a plate is used Arduino UNO, the same plate that we can manipulate so that the charger only charges up to 60%. The result is effective because after the pertinent modifications, when the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 reaches 60%, the plate Arduino UNO it will cut off the power.

Edison light bulb

The only danger in all this is that if the mobile explodes due to any other circumstance and is close to a light bulb like that, we can even set the room on fire. But this has a solution. We can manipulate the code so that instead of the lightbulb turning on when it loads, activate when hot, so we can change the bulb for an extinguisher and that is activated in case of high temperature by heat or explosion. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is waterproof so the system failure, the mobile would not be affected, but if something would happen if the mobile explodes and we are not there to turn it off.

The project in detail can be found in this Instructables link and the code is free so it can be manipulated and changed to our liking without paying anything. Just the components. Oh and the project is open so in addition to serving for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 or the latest iPhone, works for any other device. In case you want to illuminate your loads.
