Valencia, a pioneer in the surveillance of rural areas with drones

Valencia

The Spanish province of Valencia has just announced the launch of the project developed by the professor at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Isabella Quintanilla, which seeks to offer surveillance with drones to prevent theft in rural areas of the province. Thanks to this it is intended prevent thefts from crops and country houses.

As Israel Quintanilla himself has commented, the main objective of this project is to be able to add a drone to multiple patrol cars so that their reach radius is one kilometer. As a detail, tell you that the mayor of Algemesí, the Valencian municipality where the first tests will be carried out, has highlighted that this project will allow surveillance controls to be carried out in rural areas as well as exert a deterrent effect on people who want to carry out any type of theft. .

In Valencia they will be able to launch a plan for drones to carry out surveillance in rural areas.

In order to carry out these first tests, it has been specified that both the Department of Informatics, Systems and Computers of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, several technicians from the municipality of the municipality and even the Police have worked together to develop the plan to follow, especially in the harvest season for crops such as persimmon or orange.

After several months carrying out small field tests, the technicians in charge of the project have finally decided both the aircraft type that the project requires as the camera that each of the devices must have integrated to carry out the work. We hope that the real tests of the project are satisfactory since this project depends to a great extent to guarantee to some extent and in some concrete way the security in the Valencian rural areas.
