VelenCoco, an ice cream with a very human appearance

VelenCoco presentation

If you are in Barcelona this weekend and you fancy an ice cream with the appearance of the one you see in the image located just above these lines, tell you only that you stop by La Rambla, 51-59, specifically by the ice cream parlor baptized with the name from rocambolesc, an establishment owned by the Roca brothers whose star product is an ice cream created from a 3D scan made on a model.

Going into a little more detail, we learn that the model that has been provided to create an ice cream with their torso is nothing less than Andrés Velencoso, ex-boyfriend of Australian singer Kilye Minogue and who is friends with the owners of the ice cream parlor. After knowing the name of the model, you will surely have realized where the name of the ice cream itself comes from, VelenCoco.

As commented by the Roca brothers:

The idea came up while we were talking about opening a small Rocambolesc corner in Casa Andrés, his family restaurant in Tossa de Mar. In each city we have a little special that refers to a monument. In Girona, for example, the lioness's ass, or in Barcelona, the finger of Columbus. Due to this we chose that the Tossa de Mar ice cream represent Velencoso himself.

For its part, Andrés Velencoso commented:

We went to Celler de Can Roca, we sat in that great laboratory, and Jodi began to introduce me to flavors. We chose this one because I love coconut and meringue milk.
