Viwa surprises in Chicago with a great metal 3D printer

Viva

Viwa Industries, a well-known Mexican company internationally specialized in computerized machinery for manufacturing, is in the news thanks to the presentation of a new 3D metal cutting and printing machine during its presence at the International Manufacturing Technology Show Chicago, an event that takes place every two years and is taking place this week.

As we said, in this event the hybrid machine presented by Viwa is particularly striking, a system where combines Optomec 3D printing technology With the technology of cnc milling created and developed by Viwa herself. As is quite usual, for 3D printing a high-power laser is used, which is responsible for melting fine metal particles that are sent from the print head with a jet of argon gas.

Viwa presents its new metal 3D printer capable of high quality CNC milling

Among the most interesting features, for example we find that the 3D printer is not only capable of creating metal parts but, after having been manufactured, it can cut them in a computerized way to give a precise finish. If you are interested in what this machine can do, tell you that all its capabilities were already demonstrated in Mexico at the ExpoMaq fair held in León (Guanajuato) earlier this year. Such was its success that the company has not hesitated to bring its machine to the Chicago International Fair.
