Thanks to the enormous evolution that the world of the drone has had in the world and that more and more companies and users are using this type of technology either for profit or simply for leisure, the need to have some type of control over air traffic of this type of device. A new market that opens its doors wide to companies that have something to contribute and, among those that have the most interest, highlight the presence of Vodafone.

Moment Vodafone has already met on several occasions with the European authorities responsible for aviation control and security to try to find a solution with which to use their extensive network to track and identify drones. Undoubtedly, a new solution that on the one hand is a fairly simple alternative and that, secondly, comes at a time when the authorities are looking for a way to safely incorporate drones into international airspace.

Vodafone is running as the controller for European airspace.

Vodafone's proposal as airspace controller responds to the regulations established this summer by the European Aviation Safety Agency where, after its publication, a consultation period was opened on possible methods to control and regulate drone traffic. After receiving the proposal, heads of the agency itself decided to invite Vodafone to their headquarters to talk about the traffic management proposal.

Part of the solution proposed by Vodafone is that drone owners must purchase a SIM card of the company that they must insert in their device after registering in their database. In this way, the mobile phone network could be used to allow communication between drones so that, in addition to being controlled in terms of location, possible collisions and entry into restricted access areas can be avoided.
