XJet, an Israeli company specializing in the design and manufacture of large capacity 3D printers, has just announced that next day November 15th 2016 will present in the German city of Frankfurt their new and long-awaited machine capable of manufacturing metal parts using injectors. This is possible thanks to the use of a new technology baptized by the company as NanoParticle Jetting.
With this new technology it has been possible to use a series of injectors capable of eject ink droplets with metallic nanoparticles with which you can achieve levels of detail, finish and precision unprecedented to date in the industry. As stated Yair Shamir, President of XJet:

Thanks to this new technology, XJet has got Catalyst CEL and Spark to invest in it.
Such is the complexity of this technology that, in its development, XJet has obtained more than 50 patents. Personally I have to admit that it can be a success to get to market a metal printer to which you only have to install a few material cartridges once they are exhausted, nothing to handle metal dust or anything like that.
In its operation we find that, when the drops of material are deposited in the tray, the high temperature of the chamber causes the liquid to evaporate leaving only the metal on it. Subsequently, a process of synthesizing the entire piece is carried out to give it adequate strength and the removal of the support material.
