You can now have a magician's duel thanks to the Hardware Libre

Many of you are still fans of the world of Harry Potter, more of the world that JK Rowling described to us than of its protagonists. This is how for example the University of Cambridge which has created a world Quidditch tournament. But the new goes beyond Harry Potter's favorite sport and is more fun.

Allen Paen has developed a realistic video game system that use the hardware libre to recreate the famous wizards' duel. Something that works quite well and we will only need a Raspberry Pi board, an Arduino board and a few more components.

With a Raspberry Pi and Arduino we can create a wizard's duel like the ones that appeared in Harry Potter

The idea is to recreate the famous electronic gun fight where each user receives a shock every time they receive a hit. In this case, each player or rather "wizard" has a unit with Raspberry Pi and Arduino that recreates a TENS (Transcutaneus Electrical Nerve Simulation). In addition, each unit has a microphone and various stored Harry Potter spells. Each wizard must say the spell and target the enemy wizard's unit, Rasbperry Pi will recognize the spell and then send a signal to the enemy wizard's unit, then the enemy will receive a small shock.

The project of this duel of magicians also uses the Google API to recognize speech, something useful since we can use the spells with any language without losing functionality.

Unfortunately we do not have any web page in Instructables or any other public repository with information about the project to build ourselves, but surely it will be something transitory since there are many curious and lovers of the world of Harry Potter, without forgetting that the project can be a quite popular and interesting game among many "gamers" Do not you think?
