This is what you can and cannot do with your drone, according to EASA

TO THAT

There are many constraints in which we talk about drones, a market with tremendous power that, either for recreation or professionally, grows day by day both in Spain and in the rest of the world, something that on the other hand is causing serious problems due to , to a large extent, to the lack of regulations and especially to the ignorance that users have in terms of what can they do y what can't they do when they decide to buy a drone.

Due to this and although in a fairly summarized way, today I want us to talk about the regulations imposed in Spain by the TO THAT, State air safety agency. Tell you, before starting with this topic that we will talk about the regulations imposed for all those users who, because they are not professionals, do not need any type of license or flight permit issued by the AESA itself.

What can you do with your drone if you are a non-professional user.

Among the latests Moravia's compositions recommendations carried out by AESA, comment for example:

  • The drone is not a toy, it is an aircraft
  • You don't need to be a pilot but you must fly safely
  • You always have to have it in sight and not exceed 120 meters in height
  • Damage caused by the drone is the responsibility of the person who operates it.
You can only fly drones in areas suitable for it. An example could be a model airplane area, unpopulated areas ... A private space will also work, as long as no one is disturbed.

As for the what can't you do with a drone highlight:

  • You cannot fly in crowds of people such as beaches, weddings, parks, concerts, demonstrations ...
  • You can't fly in urban areas
  • You cannot fly near airports, airfields ...
  • You can't fly at night
  • You cannot endanger third parties
  • You cannot fly in areas where other low-altitude aircraft fly, such as parapets, heliports, skydiving areas ...
