You can now buy Adidas 3D printed sneakers

The well-known sportswear firm Adidas has just announced the market launch in the form of a limited edition of its 3D printed runner shoes, a model that was already presented last August at an event where Adidas delivered the first pairs to top-level athletes such as Mariana Pajon, Jessica Ennis-Hill or Allison Schmitt. As a detail, tell you that this model will only be marketed in the official stores that the company in such emblematic cities as London, Tokyo or New York at a price of $ 333 a pair, about 315 euros at the current exchange rate.

As we could see months ago, at the moment the use of 3D printing for the manufacture of sports shoes is practically limited to midsole fabrication where custom structures can be manufactured so that the shoe itself adapts much better to both the weight and the weight distribution when walking for each user. Thanks to this, as Adidas says, it is possible to achieve that each pair of shoes has a different elasticity and resistance.

After a long wait, Adidas finally puts its shoes made by 3D printing on sale.

Thanks to this, the company's designers have managed to create a kind of new structure in the shape of a 'spider web'where we can find areas that are much denser than others in order to be able to offer, depending on the area, greater or less resistance to pressure. As a detail, tell you that the heel counter has also been manufactured using 3D printing and is part of the midsole so that it creates a single piece. Thanks to this, the gluing or sewing process of this specific area is avoided.
