Airbus wants to become a benchmark in the drone market

Airbus

Every so often we see how Airbus She is very interested in the world of drones, this adventure began when the tests began to use this type of technology to make the revisions of its airplanes much faster. After all this time and the investment by the company to create its own drone models designed for specific jobs, it has decided to try commercially exploit these types of markets.

For this task Airbus has created DroneLab, a new division that, according to what the heads of the well-known multinational have commented, will be located between its Airbus Defense and Space division and Airbus Helicopter. As commented by himself Fernando Alonso, President of Airbus Spain and head of the group's military division:

We are looking at a way to enter the commercial drone market, which is clearly exploding

Airbus creates DroneLab, a subdivision of the company that will be responsible for the design, manufacture and marketing of drones.

As Fernando Alonso commented, it seems that today Airbus has enough skills to be able to enter the drone market, although, for now, does not have the capacity to be able to produce them in large quantities. DroneLab's objective is to take advantage of the synergies already developed for the manufacture of military drones and develop others that allow the company to reach the world of commercial drones.

Without a doubt we are facing a new challenge that can be very productive and beneficial for a company that, on a large scale and in other types of market sectors, is practically already engaged in the production of aircraft.
