dedrones continues to assert itself as a developer of new technologies to try to detect and protect certain geographical areas against the irresponsible flight of a drone. On this occasion they have collaborated with the company Axis Communications in the development of a new technology capable of detecting drones that have criminal purposes.
As noted in the official press release released by Dedrone herself, apparently the idea goes through be able to detect drones flying in certain areas in time with the idea of stealing trade secrets, delivering objects to inmates and even violating people's privacy, among many other examples of the use that this technology can have.
Dedrone and Axis Communications tell us about their new platform for detection and identification of drones
In order to develop this platform, the guys from Axis Communications and Dedrone have combined the use of surveillance cameras with the software drone tracker, same that makes use of radio frequency sensors y WiFi to detect the presence of drones and even identify them in the immediate vicinity.
Thanks to this project, now a company, society and even a person can identify both the drone that flies over them and even the controller that manages it and what their intentions may be. In addition to this, the software, thanks to the use of Axis Communications monitoring cameras, can view the drone in high definition and follow its movements thus obtaining a visual record of everything it does.
As he commented Paulo Santos, currently responsible for the position of Solutions Manager at Axis Communications:
Airspace has become vulnerable to the presence of drones, and perimeter protection needs to be expanded to a three-dimensional scope.
