Endesa Foundation equips 40 educational centers in Madrid with 3D printers

Today we are facing one of those news that every maker usually likes. Specifically, we are talking about the announcement that you just made Endesa Foundation directly in the words of Carlos Gómez-Múgica, general director of the same. In his words, we learn that the foundation just made delivery to no less than 40 educational centers in Madrid of state-of-the-art 3D printers.

The handover ceremony for all this material took place at the Getafe University Hospital, to which belongs one of the centers that participates for the second time in the Retotech project. Specifically, we are talking about the Home Educational Support Service Center, which offers the opportunity to participate in this project to all those little ones who are either hospitalized or cannot attend their educational center for some reason.

In addition to 3D printers, the Endesa Foundation delivers 10 robotics kits and even training in new technologies to all the Retotech finalist centers

As a detail, let you know that in this third edition of the project promoted by the Endesa Foundation, no less than 146 educational centers have been presented, of which practically half are public educational centers. The award to all the finalists has consisted of 10 robotics kits based on Arduino technology while, the 40 centers that participate for the first time, have obtained a 3D printer.

This is the third consecutive year that Fundación Endesa has promoted this technological entrepreneurship project, during which time the ideas of more than 7.000 students and 220 teachers that, without a doubt, have benefited from this great challenge for which, as an incentive, they have received training while the centers provide them to continue working on these types of ideas in a completely autonomous way.
