This project, officially baptized as The Thrid Thumb, has been launched and designed by Danielle clode making use of 3D design and printing techniques. One of the most interesting parts of it is found in its operation since any user can control it with just pressure with the toes of one foot. As you can see in the images, the system does not need cables or tubes of any kind since it works through a Bluetooth connection.

According to its designer, apparently this interesting prosthesis for any hand has been conceived with the sole intention of count and extend human capabilities Since, according to some studies and the designer herself, apparently having an extra thumb gives us a better grip at the same time that it allows us to perform another series of much more complex activities at a higher speed.
According to the little information we have obtained about this project, we can tell you that this prosthesis has been manufactured by 3D printing using a flexible material known as Ninjaflex. The finger moves thanks to a small motor located in a device that we must install on our wrist as if it were a watch.
On the other hand, there is a series of sensors that we must place in our shoes, just under the toes, and that are responsible for emitting a Bluetooth signal collected by the motor located on our wrist to move the finger.
