Portugal will create special zones to test and develop new drones

Portugal

The Portuguese authorities want to join the development of such an important technology for a short-term future as the world of the drone can be, thanks to this they have just announced their intention to enable different areas within the neighboring country where any manufacturer can develop and especially test all its prototypes.

As you are surely thinking, we are talking, without a doubt, about a new strategy with which Portugal wants to promote the advancement of these new technologies by attracting new investors. A clear example of all this we have in the latest statements made by Anne Lehman, current Secretary of States of Industry in Portugal where she comments:

We are studying the locations and what is needed, in legal terms, because these technologies have a lot of impact.

It is a sensitive issue and we want to handle it appropriately.

Portugal wants to lead the development of all kinds of technologies related to the drone world

Precisely to make this idea much more interesting and reach the more manufacturers the better, Portugal will host the conference for the second time WebSummit, which will be held next week in Lisbon.

The idea with all this is to ensure that the development of all kinds of technologies that are related to the world of the drone look directly towards Portugal, something that is being sewn at a great pace thanks, among other things, to the financial status of the country after the great economic crisis that its citizens have experienced.

Thanks precisely to this crisis, the number of startup technologies that have been created in recent months has been very high, among other things due to different causes such as high preparation of engineers and their low salary or low property prices. These factors, in turn, have increased the number of foreign investment, which is helping to drive the country's economic growth.
