Snapchat buys a drone company

Snapchat

By now we will surely all know Snapchat, a company that has achieved something that seemed impossible at this point, such as revolutionizing the world of social networks thanks to very fresh and above all innovative ideas. Far from all this, the truth is that at this point they need to continue being a reference if they do not want to see tough competitors such as Instagram or Facebook finally end their opportunities.

For this, it is especially striking, as from the company they work at a forced marches sometimes with ideas that, at least in principle, we may not understand. Today I want to tell you about one of the latest purchases that its leaders have made and it is none other than the acquisition of a drone manufacturer company called Ctrl Me Robotics based in Los Angeles, California.

Snapchat seeks to offer its own ecosystem of accessories by manufacturing its own autonomous drone related to virtual reality.

As it has been rumored, it seems that today on Snapchat they would be more than interested in design and manufacture your own drones so that these were completely compatible with all your applications and photography accessories such as future Spectacles. Undoubtedly a very interesting idea with which the company would create its own ecosystem of products, all of them related to the world of virtual reality.

According to the few details that have emerged, apparently Ctrl Me Robotics was acquired last year by less than a million dollars in an agreement that included some of the equipment and assets of the company including its founder, Simon Nielsen.
