Airbus Aerial, a new division specialized in commercial services with drones

Airbus Aerial

Yesterday we had the opportunity to talk about how many experts believe that the next great trade war will be fought in the skies and precisely one of the companies that had already moved was precisely Airbus with the creation of its new division Airbus Aerial, which was presented to the entire world taking advantage of the company's presence at the AUVSI Xponential fair and conference held in Dallas.

Due to the fact that in that post we could not delve much into the objectives of Airbus Aerial, today I wanted to expose you better what will this new division do? that, at least for the moment, it will have offices in the United States and Europe and that, at least this has been confirmed, will focus on the development of new imaging services.

Airbus Aerial comes to offer commercially the vision of the future that Airbus itself has in the world of drones.

Going into a little more detail, Airbus' proposal involves developing a new state-of-the-art software that can make use of the most advanced technology of the moment at the aerospace level from all over the world in order to be able to offer all kinds of customers useful data while performing an information analysis. All of this data will be collected by drones, satellites, high-altitude aircraft, and other sources.

As stated by himself Dirk Hoke, CEO of Airbus Defense and Space:

With Airbus Aerial we are uniquely positioned to fully support the development of the commercial unmanned aerial systems sector. The company brings together partners from different sectors of the sector such as vehicle manufacturers, data analysis companies, service providers and others, to offer services focused on large-scale data.

Airbus Aerial will use the integrated mix of equipment, from UAS platforms to satellite imagery, with the aim of deploying a wide range of new image-based services. In the future, Airbus Aerial activities will be complemented by transport drone services and will provide connectivity by means of aerial equipment.
