COM Express: powerful new development board for IoT

COM Express

Since the appearance of Raspberry Pi, many SBCs have been appearing on the market, a multitude of development boards mainly based on Arm, but also on other architectures, such as x86 and more recently with RISC-V. Today we present you a new development kit designed to work with IoT and created by ADLINK and which is based on the board Express-RLP COM Express Type 6, which we will present to you in this article.

Unlike many other SBCs, designed to be cheap and have a small form factor, this one is designed to offer high performance, as you will see. And it is based on a Intel Core i3-13300HE processor or a Core i5-13600HE (Raptor Lake-P) to choose from, in addition to allowing up to 64 GB of DDR5 RAM, ATX power connector, and a multitude of other surprises, as you will discover later...

La COM Express arrives with a price starting from $495 and $595 until November 6 this year, for the one based on the Core i3 and Core i5 respectively. After that date they will cost $755 and $865 respectively. Therefore, if you want to get it cheaper you should take advantage now...

On the other hand, I would not like to overlook that the new ADLINK COM Express board supports Ubuntu 20.04 "for Intel IoT platforms" and also Windows 10 IoT. Therefore, you will have great versatility for your developments.
