EHLA, a new way of working with metal 3D printing

Trumpf, a German company that for quite some time has specialized in 3D printing, especially in the development of new methodologies and techniques for the manufacture of different objects, has just announced what they themselves have called ehla, a new way of working with 3D printing technology that, it seems, would already be ready to reach the mass market.

Going into a little more detail, as has been announced from the company itself, thanks to the EHLA work methodology, it has been possible that all Trumpf metal 3D printing systems that will reach the market in the coming months are capable to deposit the not inconsiderable figure of up to 250 square centimeters of metal per minute.

EHLA can multiply by six the amount of material deposited during a work process

Before continuing, tell you that this new methodology EHLA will be used by the German company mainly in all its systems for coating parts with metal, which, as we said in previous lines, can also be used to print any part in 3D. Among the machines that will take advantage of this new functionality are the TruLaser Cell 3000 as well as the TruLaser Cell 7000.

If we make comparisons with current systems, a piece of information that can be very useful to understand what has been achieved for sure with the EHLA functionality is that today a machine can reach deposit between 10 and 40 square centimeters per minute of material while thanks to EHLA this data grows to 250 square centimeters.

Before saying goodbye, as it appears in the press release published by the German company itself, note that the EHLA system has been developed and patented by the Fraunhoffer Institute and can be integrated into existing Trumpf equipment.
