GoPro Karma, speculating on its final design

GoPro Karma

Much is being speculated on the form and functionality that GoPro is giving his new drone, a model we have known for quite some time by the name of Karma. After a long wait, it seems that his final design could have been revealed through a series of patents assigned to the inventor. Ryan Michael Goldstein, GoPro worker. The most curious thing of all is that, in these patents we can see up to three very different designs.

In the first design of the three, the same that you can see under these lines and in full color in a recreation right at the head of this same post, we find a kind of rectangular shaped drone like a shoe box. One of the aspects that has caught my attention lies in the design itself, since it seems to be much more developed than the rest, so we could well be before the GoPro Karma itself.

The GoPro Karma could be hidden among the images of these patents

Secondly, you have a photograph at the end of this entry where you can understand much better the shape of the remaining designs, we find a model very similar to the first in terms of shapes, although, as you can see, instead of betting on a completely rectangular body its creators have tried to include all systems in a cylindrical shaped body, in my opinion, much more interesting.

Finally, and perhaps the most radical and different in terms of design, we find a kind of sphere from which the arms with the rotors would unfold. As a detail, tell you that according to the author of these designs, they have been created as a result of the open source autopilot PX4, a drone controlled by the user and equipped with action cameras that stands out, above all, for its ease of being taken from one place to another and its simplicity.
