Get to know XtreeE a little better, the first European pavilion created using 3D printing

pavilion XtreeE

XtreeE It is qualified as the first pavilion manufactured entirely using 3D printing technology in all of Europe, a structure created in Paris jointly by French companies Dassault Systèmes and XtreeE. For this creation, the engineers and architects of the XtreeE firm decided to use the 3DEXPERIENCE cloud platform from Dassault Systèmes in order to develop a fully collaborative 3D design that also allowed them options such as data simulation and shape validation.

Going a little deeper into construction issues, for the creation of the structure, a cement classified as experimental was used, developed by the company's research and development department. Lafarge-Holcim. This cement was placed in its final position with the help of the industrial robot IRB8700 ABB company that, as you are probably thinking, has been in charge of carrying out all the final 'printing' work.

XtreeE, a pavilion made using 3D printing technology that you can see in Paris.

As you can see in the published images, the structure of this singular pavilion has, supposedly and according to its authors, a design inspired by a coffee bean with walls reminiscent of the shapes of the forests. All this in a structure of Meters 3,53.

A very important part of the whole project is the work carried out by the XtreeE engineers as they have achieved optimize y automate the construction of the components of your pavilion, from the initial phase where you work entirely on the design, to the final assembly at the construction site. Thanks to this, it has been possible to reduce the number of materials used so that they can even be eliminated from transporting them to the construction site.
