Great news that the guys from Protorapid, a Spanish company specialized in the printing of 3D parts, which has achieved nothing less than Volkswagen Mexico I sign a contract by which, Protorapid, undertakes to design a 3D prototype of a piece for the seats of a car that will begin to be manufactured in 2017 at the plant that the subsidiary of the almighty Volkswagen Group has located in Puebla (Mexico) .
In principle and once the prototype is accepted and passes all the control and verification processes, some NOTE 200. These will be manufactured entirely in Barcelona using state-of-the-art 3D printing technology. As a detail and as it has transpired, thanks to this agreement, Protorapid will receive a total of 80.000 euros. On the other hand, to offer greater proximity to the company, the Protorapid leaders have decided to open a commercial office in the Federal Entity of Puebla.
Protorapid will be dedicated to the manufacture of car parts in Mexico
According to the estimate made by the leaders of this new office, apparently they expect the mass to be able to generate sales worth 1 million euros at the end of 2017. In this way, the company will focus on the development of projects for car brands, taking advantage of the fact that the geographic area of Puebla brings together a large part of the automotive industry established in Mexico.
In turn, in the press release, the people of Protorapid announce the investment of 250.000 euros that have been destined to the acquisition of a new industrial 3D printing machine. In this way, the Spanish company will become one of the first to formalize a contract with HP. This new printer will allow them to guarantee their customers much more advanced and quality results.
