Your next glasses could be 3D printed

La Print 3D continues to have a greater number of applications every day, and today, for example, we know that the company MONO Eyewear has decided to use its 3D printers to print eyeglass frames, which have some interesting quirks.

These spectacle frames allow that not so much material is wasted and that it can be built in one piece, without having to use as in the glasses that we all know, for example, hinges to close the temples, or fasteners to adapt the glasses to our nose .

The impression of the frame also serves so that they can be more comfortable and adapted to our face since we can print the most appropriate size or the one that may be most comfortable for us. At the moment there are only 5 different frame styles, with 3 different sizes, although it is expected that soon there may be hundreds of different styles and sizes on offer.

Another of the great advantages of these 3D printed frames is that the crystals are very easy to place, and you can even exchange some viewing glasses for ones that protect us from the sun.

Of course, I wear glasses every day, the truth is that the styles that are currently available are quite ugly, at least for me. However, the possibility of getting glasses exactly my size, without pieces that break from time to time and with lenses that we can change with some ease are undoubtedly a blessing.

In addition, I am very afraid that printing the frame of our glasses will be much cheaper than going to buy a frame plus crystals from an optician. Hopefully soon we can see new designs and be able to print our own glasses thanks to a 3D printer.

What do you think of these spectacle frames to see printed with a 3D printer?.
